The brief: a refined, residential atmosphere in a clinical setting — one that quietly reassures patients and their families while supporting the medical team's daily routine. SOMOS delivered the full FF&E across three distinct programs — arrival lobby, post-operative recovery, and the doctors' offices — specified for ergonomic comfort, cleanability, and the durability standards a working clinic demands.

SOMOS curated the waiting room to read more like a residential foyer than a clinical space: a curved travertine reception desk with integrated lighting, oak slat detailing, alabaster pendants, and a paired lounge in soft sage and ivory upholstery. Materials, lighting, and proportions were chosen to lower the temperature of the arrival experience — a quiet, considered first impression for patients and visitors.

Consultation rooms built like an office.
Each consultation suite was specified for two distinct moments: a working desk for the physician and a small lounge for the consultation conversation itself. Walnut casegoods, leather task seating, paired bouclé lounge chairs around a sculpted travertine coffee table, lit bookshelves and considered art — the room is a working office that respects the gravity of the conversations happening inside it.

Tucked off the recovery suite, a small enclosed courtyard offers patients a quiet outdoor moment as part of their post-operative experience. SOMOS specified contract-grade teak lounge seating with cream performance cushions and sage scatter pillows, low teak coffee tables, candle lanterns, and the planted birch and boxwood that screen the space from neighbouring sightlines. A garden room sized for stillness rather than circulation.
