White Rock,
British Columbia.
A neighbourhood bistro-café on Canada's Pacific coast — interior dining room, café bar, and oceanfront patio. SOMOS specified, manufactured, and installed the full contract-grade FF&E program for both indoor and outdoor service.
Pier-side bistro,
indoors and out.
An independent bistro-café operator opening on White Rock's seaside promenade asked SOMOS to deliver the entire furniture program — bistro tables and dining chairs for the interior, the café bar with counter stools, and the streetside patio set built to live outdoors year-round. One specification, one schedule, one delivery to a single dock door.

A streetside terrace built for sun, salt, and rain.
SOMOS specified and delivered the full outdoor program: marine-grade aluminum pedestal tables with stable cross-base feet, contract-grade resin armchairs with woven cream rope-detail backs, and the planter program with rosé seasonal florals. Every piece selected for the West Coast climate — UV-stable, wash-down rated, and engineered for hospitality wear cycles.
Stack-and-store logistics were considered from day one: chairs lift one-handed for end-of-service stack, tables fold flat for off-season storage, and replacement parts ship from a Canadian warehouse on a 48-hour SLA.

- Streetside planters

Terrazzo tables and blonde-wood seating, end to end.
The interior dining program: custom terrazzo-top bistro tables on slim contract-grade pedestal bases, blonde-wood armchairs with cream upholstered seats and backs, and a coordinated stool family for the bar counter. All upholstery rated for commercial F&B use, all wood frames specified to operator-grade construction with replaceable seat pads and refinishable show-wood.
The herringbone parquet was sourced and installed alongside the FF&E so the floor finish, the wood tones in the seating, and the fluted bar joinery all read as a single coherent material story on opening day.

The bar program — service flow first.
The café bar was designed around the operator's service line: fluted oak counter face, integrated bar-top in matching terrazzo, pendant lighting at counter-stool spacing, and a pair of stool families — backed and backless — to accommodate both lingering coffee guests and quick lunch turns. Every barstool footprint sized to the architect's millwork drawings so the front-of-house photographs as cleanly as it operates.
The full FF&E was delivered, set, and punch-listed in a single 36-hour install window between the floor handover and the operator's soft-open service.

Independent operators, delivered like a chain.
Specification support, material samples, fire-code documentation, custom development, freight coordination, on-site install, and after-handover service — all under one program, whether it's a single café or a national rollout.
